DBA Estates provided project management services to promote a 30 acres greenfield site through the Local Development Framework for residential development. We oversaw the preparation of the Core Strategy representations, political lobbying and preparation of the planning application. The role included the monitoring of a multifaceted team of internationally recognised consultants. Planning permission for over 300 residential units was approved.
DBA Estates obtained outline planning permission for a client for 165 plots on the former Ever Ready site in Telford. We have also worked for clients on complex mineral and waste planning and licensing matters in Sussex providing historic research projects and planning advice.


DBA Estates advised a client on a regeneration scheme for over 1,800 dwellings, including significant infrastructure, both on and off site at North Leigh Park, Wigan. We addressed contaminated land issues, planning viability and maximised value from the layout ensuring the project will provide a new road, local centre, around 600,000 sq. ft. of employment land and associated public open space and local facilities. Planning permission has now been granted.

Land Agency

DBA Estates maximised value for our clients in the sale of 400 residential plots in 2015 to two national house builders, Bovis and Taylor Wimpey with a further parcel of land with sale currently agreed subject to contract.
We are also currently appointed to sell two residential development sites, each for circa 300 units.

Expert Witness

Using his commercial experience as Expert Witness on Five Year Housing Land Supply at Public Inquiry for Christopher Young QC at No.5 Chambers, the DBA Team prepared a Proof of Evidence for Richborough Estates which ultimately proved successful in assisting Richborough at securing planning permission for circa 140 units at Ludlow, Shropshire.
The Proof of Evidence identified, analysed and detailed delivery rates per development site across Shropshire by housebuilder status, highlighting issues of recent planning permissions, saturation points and lead in times amongst other points from both a commercial and housebuilder perspective, applying 20 years of development experience.


DBA Estates advised on scheme efficiencies, access, phasing, development area, assessment, viability and planning negotiations for a scheme of 281 residential units in Rowley Regis.

Development Engineering

DBA Estates provided planning and project management services and commercial land agency advice in relation to a brownfield regeneration scheme for up to 275 dwellings and 200,000 sq. ft. of commercial development. DBA Estates Limited provided advice to maximise the value of the scheme, secure planning permission and provided advice on the sale of the land.

Land Investment / Acquisition

The DBA team has completed the land assembly of a significant strategic and immediate development site in Worcestershire extending to over 70 acres for a national strategic land business. The initial phase now benefits from planning permission for residential development with a proposed allocation for a further 375 new homes.
Previously DBA Estates has also secured a significant strategic housing site in Staffordshire with a joint venture partner for circa 800 dwellings and two further sites in Worcestershire and Rugby.
